“Against Canada it is big matches, the
four sets were back and forth for the two
teams and the match was fun. In the second
and third sets both teams made mistakes,
we played against a good squad and the
victoy could have gone either way.”
Normand Bouchard, coach of Canada: “The
match was very good, in the first set both
teams tried to find their strenghth and
the weaknesses of the opponent, and United
States adjusted more fast. We did it very
well in the third set. It was a good game
to watch, enjoy and train.”
Darcy Dorton, captain of United States:
“It was a good match. Canada played very
neat all the way. In the fourth they were
very strong. We will meet Mexico in the
quarterfinals and is going to be very
emocional game and we will bring the best
of ourselves and they will have to respond.
I know the gym will be noisy, because the
crowd will support Mexico and they will
try their best.”
Sofie Schalagintweit, captain of Canada:
“Both teams play very hard, United States
did a great job in blocking, but it was a
great match. Today we watched Puerto Rico
playing, and we will have to play good all
the macth, without mistakes because the
match will be tough.” |
